KVIKS Interactive manages and operates Hilo High’s online presence through the HHS website, socials, and app. KVIKS Interactive also manages our own KVIKS Media social media and website.
Learning Objectives
- Students will be able to set up and operate sound reinforcement equipment for various live events, ensuring optimal sound quality and coverage.
- Students will gain proficiency in setting up and calibrating video projection systems, including projectors, screens and video sources.
Interactive Activities
The KVIKS Interactive Crew works on uploading content to the Hilo High School webpage, social media handles @hilohighschool, @hilohighathletics and @kviksmedia.
Training Offered
- DEDICATED TRAINING: Due to the unique nature of creating content online, students are given specific training on how to submit draft articles for posting. Once approved by an advisor, it is then published online.
- FEEDBACK: As posts strive to reach a minimum standard, experienced crew members may share feedback on how to take the content from good to great.
Activity Roles
Interactive Publishers: These publishers post announcement information to the Hilo High School and KVIKS Media websites. They also help other clubs and programs update their information on the website and mobile app. This primary assignment can be done in person or from home, as long as the content is uploaded quickly, regularly, and accurately.
Social Media Publishers: Social Media Publishers are responsible for creating and posting content on the Hilo High School Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter pages. This primary assignment can be done in person or from home, as long as the content is uploaded quickly, regularly, and accurately.
Athletics Social Media Publisher: The Athletics publisher posts specialized content on Hilo High Athletics for both the website, app, social media, and specifically athletic social media pages. This primary assignment can be done in person or from home, as long as the content is uploaded quickly, regularly, and accurately.
