On Friday, February 24, 2023, KVIKS Media broadcasted the 2023 Kamehameha Schools Band Festival. The bands that performed were Keaau Middle School, Waiakea Intermediate School, Waiakea High School, Hilo Intermediate School, Hilo High School, Kamehameha Schools Beginning, Intermediate and High School Band.
We were very honored to receive an invitation to broadcast the 2023 Band Festival by Mr. Willie Harris, the Kamehameha Schools Hawaii High School Band Director. We also thank Mrs. Ku’ulei Arceo for encouraging the use of KVIKS Media, and the support from KS Hawaii’s IT and Chapel Staff. Stay tuned for Sunday, March 5, 2023 as we will return to broadcast Honor Band at the Kamehameha Schools Hawaii Chapel.
Something cool that happened at this broadcast was that a spectator figured out we were the same program that broadcasted the DII Girls Basketball Championships and they approached Camrenn to share his appreciation for the energy and quality of Camrenn’s color commentary. It is so neat when the members of the public go out of their way to share their appreciation and encouragement with us.
