The sounds of music filled the air and the scent of hotdogs and homemade crafts wafted through the crowds at the Waiakea High School Gymnasium.
On Sunday February 19, 2023, the 7th Annual Hot Dog Jam made an epic return after a brief absence during the COVID-19 Pandemic. This craft fair and musical extravaganza drew crowds from far and wide, featuring standout performances from talented bands like the Hilo High Viking Band, Waiakea High Warrior Band, WIS Ukulele Band and more! Join us as we take a closer look at the unforgettable sights and sounds from this year’s event.
KVIKS Media had the privilege of live streaming the event with the assistance of two members from Waiakea High School’s Live Production Team, Jacob and Daysen. Jacob was the director and technical director and Daysen served as primary camera for the event. These talented individuals are part of the team at Waiakea High School that broadcasts their special events. We appreciate them taking their time and putting aside cross-town rivalry to help us out! We hope to work with them and their advisor Mr. Gavin again in the near future.
Our other KVIKS Media students participated as well as shading, camera operators and even operated a photobooth! It was a fun event and we can’t wait until we return again next year!
