HILO, HAWAII – On an early November 13, 2024, a small crew went to the Hawaii Community College Culinary Dining Hall and Kitchen Lab to film the 2024 Hawaii Island Chef Challenge for the County of Hawaii. Featuring guest judges such as Mayor Mitch Roth, Chef Sam Choy and Chef Mahana Beamer, we were honored to be invited to participate in this exciting opportunity!
KVIKS Media created a 46 minute show depicting this years competition between teams. Each team consisted of two HCC Culinary students and a chef from a restaurant from our island, ranging from local favorites to high-end hotels.
Congratulations to this year’s winners, and mahalo to Mayor Mitch Roth, host Pomaika’i Bartolome and assistant Kara Yoshiyama for coordinating our involvement!
